Ricky Rubio also put together a solid game, finishing with 16 points and three assists. Chase Budinger, who has recently been the subject of trade rumors, had a nice showing with 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting.
Indiana’s Donald Sloan led the Pacers with 19.
The Wolves rebounded from a slow start as Indiana took a quick 7-0 lead out of the gate. But the Wolves responded to take a 21-19 lead by the end of the quarter.
Minnesota then pushed the lead to double figures with a big second quarter, outscoring the Pacers 31-18 during the stretch. The Wolves were able to maintain the lead through the second half as they shot 51 percent from the floor for the game.
The Wolves didn’t use top pick Andrew Wiggins. They also gave both Ronny Turiaf and J.J. Barea Tuesday night off.
