Wolves head coach Rick Adelman did not join the team for Thursday’s afternoon practice in New Orleans. He’s missed the last two games to be with his wife, who is in the hospital. Nikola Pekovic tells the Star Tribune that “it’s tough” without him coaching, but Adelman could return to the bench against the Hornets.
The Wolves had just 10 healthy players in Wednesday night’s loss to Oklahoma City. One of the injured players is star Kevin Love. With Love out the pressure is on second year player Derrick Williams to pick up some slack. Wolves TV analyst Jim Petersen says Williams is growing, and he just “needs to keep building” off that.
