Timberwolves rookie center Gorgui Dieng met President Obama on Tuesday.
He joined his former University of Louisville teammates on a trip to the White House as a reward for winning the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship in April.
Dieng isn’t the only Wolf with championship experience.
FOX Sports North notes that free agent signees Corey Brewer and Ronny Turiaf bring championship experience to Minnesota as well.
Brewer won back-to-back NCAA titles at the University of Florida, and a NBA championship with the Dallas Mavericks in 2011. J.J. Barea also played for the Mavericks in 2011.
Turiaf, helped the Miami Heat win a championship in 2012.
