The Minnesota Vikings have reportedly signed ex-New York Jets punter T.J. Conley, according to KFAN-FM 100.3’s A.J. Mansour.
Conley, 27, who sat out last season after being cut by the Jets, tweeted today that he’s proud to be “a member of the Minnesota Vikings!”
While the Vikings haven’t verified the report, coach Leslie Frasier did mention Tuesday that current punter Chris Kluwe will undergo surgery on his left (non-kicking) knee.
Kluwe, 31, has been with the Vikings since 2005. He has one year left on his contract.
Another Tweet indicates that the Vikings also signed cornerback Greg McCoy, who was drafted by the Bears last year:
#Vikings have signed free agents P T.J. Conley and CB Greg McCoy.
