
The Minnesota Wild jumped out to an early 2-0 lead against the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday night, but Arizona responded with five unanswered goals in a 5-2 defeat.
Coming off a 5-1 win over the Coyotes on Friday night, the Wild picked up where they left off early. Matt Dumba opened the scoring for the Wild, with a first period snipe to put Minnesota on the board.

Jordan Greenway doubled the Wild’s lead, scoring for the second straight night to put Minnesota up 2-0 after the first intermission.

Despite the early lead, things unraveled for the Wild in the second period. Lawson Crouse and Jakob Chychrun scored for the Coyotes in the second period to go into the second intermission tied at 2-2.
Arizona added three more goals in the third period with a power play marker from Conor Garland and two goals from Tyler Pitlick to make up the final 5-2 score.
After splitting with the Coyotes, the Wild (13-8-1) will return home to host the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday evening.
