Darcy Kuemper will once again start in net for the Wild Tuesday against Dallas with every other goalie around him facing a status that is in flux.
Backup net-tender Niklas Backstrom had another cortizone shot on the lower-body injury that has been plaguing him the last few weeks, and he will have to remain off the ice for a few days, while starter Josh Harding did not practice today because he is once again not feeling well due to his Multiple Sclerosis.
All of this is according to Michael Russo of the Star Tribune, because he is awesome.
With Kuemper the only goalie healthy of the three that Minnesota has rotated throughout the year, the Wild once again recalled Johan Gustafsson to back up Kuemper tomorrow night.
Gustafsson has made multiple appearances on the Wild bench this year, but the rookie goalie has not appeared in a game as of yet.
The other move Minnesota made was a recall of defenseman Jonathon Blum today, just two days after he was sent back to Iowa.
Blum appeared in his first four games of the year with the Wild in his last stint with the big club, totaling two shots on goal.
