The Minnesota Wild picked up a big road win in Los Angeles on Monday night, beating the Kings 3-2.
The Wild rallied in the third from a 2-1 deficit to pull out the one-goal victory. Mikko Koivu’s goal early in the third period was the the difference maker. Both Charlie Coyle and Zach Parise assisted on the goal.
According to the Star Tribune, the win moves the Wild five points in front of Phoenix for the top wild-card spot and six points ahead of ninth-place Dallas.
The Wild snapped a six-game winning streak for the Kings. It was only the second time all season L.A. lost a game when leading after two periods.

Parise finished with a goal and an assist, in the game. As did Koivu.
The game didn’t start the way the Wild had hoped. Los Angeles took an early 1-0 lead on a goal from Alec Martinez.
Minnesota bounced back though, as early in the second Parise netted a power play goal, his 28th of the season. Mikael Granlund and Koivu assisted.
But before the end of the second, Justin Williams put the Kings back on top, at 2-1. Former Wild players Marian Gaborik and Willie Mitchell both assisted.
In the third though, the Wild turned the tables. They pulled even on a goal from Matt Moulson. Then Koivu scored to give Minnesota their first lead of the game just 62 seconds later.
The game did have a cost for the Wild. Both Nino Neiderreiter and Granlund left with injuries. There is no word on how long either could be out.
Mikael Granlund took a hard hit toward the end of the second. He's not on the bench to start the third.
