Las Vegas has taken notice of how hot the Minnesota Wild have been since the middle of January.
Bovada Sportsbook has the Wild with the third-best odds to win the Stanley Cup this season, just behind the Chicago Blackhawks and New York Rangers, who are in St. Paul to play the Wild Thursday night.
Here’s the top ten from Bovada.
- New York Rangers – 13/2
- Chicago Blackhawks – 7/1
- Minnesota Wild – 8/1
- Anaheim Ducks – 9/1
- Montreal Canadiens – 10/1
- St. Louis Blues – 10/1
- Tampa Bay Lightning – 10/1
- Nashville Predators – 14/1
- Pittsburgh Penguins – 14/1
- Los Angeles Kings – 16/1
Last June, when Bovada’s first 2015 odds were released, the Wild had 18/1 odds, or the ninth-best odds to win the Cup, according to CBS Sports.
Bovada lists the Wild with 9/2 odds to become Western Conference champions.
Meanwhile, CBS Sports notes that Wild goaltender Devan Dubnyk has the fourth-best odds to win Most Valuable Player (Hart Trophy). Dubnyk’s 15/1 odds pale in comparison to the runaway favorite, Montreal goalie, Carey Price (1/3 odds).
