Minnesota Wild goalie Josh Harding has won the 2013 Masterton trophy, according to the Star Tribune.
The award goes to “to the player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey.”
It’s named for former Minnesota North Stars player Bill Masterton, who died in 1968 after being injured during a game.
Harding, who is battling multiple sclerosis, was one of three finalists, a list which also included Pittsburgh’s Sidney Crosby and Boston’s Adam McQuaid.
