The Minnesota Wild closed their road trip with a 3-1 victory over Carolina. It was Minnesota’s second road victory in as many nights.
Mikael Granlund put the Wild on top early in the third period. He deflected a Jason Pominville shot into the net to let the Wild regain the lead. Granlund finished with a goal and an assist in the victory.
Less than two minutes later, Zach Parise added an insurance goal for Minnesota, who improved to 10-1-2 on the road since the All-Star break.

Devan Dubnyk came up big for the Wild again. Playing in his 23rd consecutive game, Dubnyk stopped 37-of-the-38 shots he faced.
Dubnyk’s best stretch on Friday may have come during the second period when he gave up his only goal of the game. Carolina peppered the Minnesota netminder with 16 shots on goal during the period as the Hurricanes dramatically controlled the ice.
Despite the barrage, Dubnyk stopped 15 of the 16 shots, allowing Carolina’s Riley Nash to score the lone goal.
The Wild return to St. Paul on Sunday to host Colorado.
