The mystery is over.
Josh Harding will start in goal tonight for the Minnesota Wild, according to NBCSports.com.
Harding, Darcy Kuemper and Niklas Backstrom took part in today’s gameday skate in Chicago, where the Wild and Blackhawks will clash in Game 5 of their playoff series.
Afterwards, coach Mike Yeo declared Harding the starter, with Kuemper as the backup.
“We don’t know how he feels,” Yeo told the Star Tribune. “But you have to trust him, and he says that he is good to go.”
As for the team’s mindset going into Game 5, with the Wild trailing 3-1: “The only thing that matters is tonight,” Yeo said. “We would still face a very big challenge, but we have to stay alive. We got a group that’s more than capable of winning this hockey game.”
Harding injured his leg during Game 4 Tuesday night, and had to come out — replaced by Kuemper.
Here’s the video of the play Harding seemed to get hurt on.
