The Wild (as well as the rest of the league) submitted its list of protected and exposed players for the upcoming Expansion Draft for the Las Vegas Golden Knights.
The following players will be exposed:
- Matt Dumba
- Marco Scandella
- Eric Staal
- Erik Haula
Remember, Las Vegas can only select one player – but there’s still a chance Minnesota and Las Vegas can work out a trade over the next three days, instead of losing a player for absolutely nothing.
Wild general manager Chuck Fletcher said last week he’s had conversations with Golden Knights GM George McPhee, but nothing has been agreed upon.
Teams are required to protect players with no-movement clauses, and the Wild have four players with said clauses in their contracts. Minnesota used a 7-3-1 format for protected players.

Las Vegas will announce their selections on Wednesday, June 21 at 7 p.m. at the NHL Awards show.
