The Minnesota Wild and Colorado Avalanche skated even for 65 minutes of hockey, but Wild goalie Josh Harding stood tall in a shootout, giving the Wild a 2-1 win.
The Avalanche took the lead on a tip-in by Maxime Talbot to put them up 1-0.
The game stayed that way until the late third period when Nino Neiderreiter scored to tie it up at the 16:07 mark.
After neither team could find a goal in overtime, Minnesota lit the lamp twice in the shootout with Harding turning away the Aves twice, securing the win.
The game was pretty even all night, both teams finished with 27 shots on goal in the game. Harding stopped 24 in net for the Wild once again.
Minnesota will host Vancouver on Tuesday night.
