Andrew Wiggins is entering his third year in the NBA and the 21-year-old told NBA TV that he’s ready to be “more of a leader.”
“I’m going on my third year now so I have a lot more responsibility now than I did before,” Wiggins said. “I’m becoming more vocal. I’m becoming more of a leader.”
Wiggins also complimented rookie point guard Kris Dunn on his fantastic start to the Las Vegas Summer League, and closed the interview by saying the Wolves “are going to be a nightmare to play” against next season.

Wiggins’ per-game averages went up in most categories from his rookie to sophomore season, and if he continues trending up his third year could be very impressive.
- Wiggins 2014-15: 16.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 43.7 percent shooting
- Wiggins 2015-16: 20.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, 45.6 percent shooting
He also got the line an average of 7.1 times a game last season, up from 5.7 free-throw attempts per game as a rookie.
