Rubio leads the league in steals; he can disrupt the multitude of great point guards he’ll face in addition to running an offense himself. He hit the Lakers with a triple-double Sunday night (12 points, 14 assists, 10 rebounds, plus five steals).
Yahoo! Sports notes that Minnesota is trying to win six of its first eight for the first time since winning nine of their first 10 games to start the 2001-02 season.
The Wolves’ 47 points in the first quarter were “outrageous,” according to Lakers big man Pau Gasol.
Minnesota will try to sweep L.A. when they play the Clippers tonight.
