What’s it going to be when the Minnesota Vikings go on-the-clock with the 30th pick in tonight’s NFL Draft?
General Manager Rick Spielman said Tuesday that he might select a player from any of five possible position groups, without of course saying which positions those are.
According to The MMQB’s Albert Breer, “it’s most likely to be a corner or an offensive lineman,” but Spielman warned anyone who thinks he’s locked in on a lineman is wrong.
Minnesota’s biggest needs? Guard, center, cornerback and defensive end, according to Breer.

“You want to talk about a road grader with an edge? He doesn’t like people, and he finishes,” says Mayock. “His feet are better than people think.”
Hernandez is a “big, mean, nasty, throwback offensive guard,” says Bleacher Repot’s Matt Miller, who thinks it’d be a smart pick that would “open up rushing lanes for Dalvin Cook and keep quarterback Kirk Cousins’ jersey clean.”
Jason Canfora of CBS Sports has the Vikings taking Iowa cornerback Josh Jackson, suggesting that “adding a potential starting corner would make sense, especially with a lot of the offensive linemen they’d like already off the board.”
Both Charlie Casserly and Daniel Jeremiah of NFL.com think it’ll be Georgia guard Isaiah Wynn.
ESPN’s Todd McShay thinks Minnesota will make a hometown pick by taking former Chanhassen and Arkansas center/guard Frank Ragnow.
