After a huge win against the NFL’s alleged toughest team, the Vikings improved to 2-1 this season. And yes, it means big gains in the power rankings. How could it not?
With Minnesota traveling to Detroit Sunday for a Week 4 showdown with another alleged tough team — the Lions — here’s how the various list-makers see the Purple in the 1 through 32 rankings:
FoxSports, for starters, has the Vikes up 10 notches. It’s Brad Billick’s list, and gives Christian Ponder props, saying he made plays with “his arm, his legs and his eyes” Sunday.
ESPNhas Minnesota up eight spots, also saying Ponder had his best game ever.
SBNationalso gives the Vikes a lift — up six spots from Week 3 — but admits Minnesota is “still not getting enough credit”
