There was a scary moment during the Iowa Wild game on Saturday night against the Charlotte Checkers.
Wild prospect and former Gophers hockey defenseman, Nick Seeler dropped the gloves with Connor Brickley and the fight ended with Brickley knocked out unconscious.
Brickley left the game on a stretcher and was taken to the hospital where he was responsive and moving around.

According to Nick Niedzielski, director of communications for the Charlotte Checkers, Brickley underwent tests to his head and neck, and the coaches don’t believe the injury is too serious.
Even though fights are a part of hockey, watching someone knocked out cold is something nobody wants to see. It’s a big reason why fights have declined in the NHL over the years.
