The Wild opened training camp on Friday at the Xcel Energy Center.
First order of business? Bruce Boudreau’s infamous skating test.
Players start in a group of five or six and have to skate goal line-to-goal line two times, with a final push to center ice.

Players have to do the test three times with only 60-seond breaks between. They have to finish the first run in under 38 seconds, and the final two runs in under 41 seconds.
The Pioneer Press notes Boudreau executed the skate test every year he was the head coach of the Anaheim Ducks, except once, and the Ducks started that season with one win in their first 10 games.
Apparently, Charlie Coyle breezed through the process.
Meanwhile, prospect Dmitry Sokolov was one of many players who could not get through the test, according to Michael Russo of the Athletic.
The Wild will play their first preseason game on Sept. 18 against the Winnipeg Jets.
