It’s amazing what can scare athletes. Stepping into a batters box while the opposing player throws a ball north of 90 miles per hour? No problem.
But when a squirrel enters the dugout? EVERYONE PANIC!
In the bottom of the first inning, a squirrel caused a delay between the Twins and White Sox after it ran across home plate and eventually entered the dugout underneath the protective netting.

The critter then ran across the bench of the dugout and it appeared he hid underneath the gap where the Twins keep their bats.
Jake Cave, Miguel Sano and Jason Castro all seemed to be taken back by the little varmint.
Play resumed shortly after but there’s no word on what happened to the animal.
