You’ll want to run through a wall for P.J. Fleck after you see what he did to surprise the Gophers football team on Wednesday.
During a team meeting, Fleck incorporated a bunch of Jay-Z-isms into his speech and put on a full skit of Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake’s “Holy Grail” before giving everyone on the team a ticket to the Beyonce and Jay-Z concert at U.S. Bank Stadium.
We had an ELITE time at the @Beyonce & Jay-Z concert last night!! The H.Y.P.R.R. Culture is all about the holistic college football experience – Academically, Athletically, Socially & Spiritually!! There’s always something ELITE to do in the Twin Cities!! #RTB #HYPRR #SkiUMah pic.twitter.com/6NogrXC6GV

Paul Rovnak, the U’s assistant athletic director of communications tells BMTN that the football program’s director of operations, Daniel Ifft, played the role of Timberlake while the team’s graphic designer, Will Henry, played Jay-Z.
It’s no surprise that Fleck found a way to inspire the team. It’s just the way he rolls. I mean, this is the same coach who, while at Western Michigan, got Sylvester Stallone to surprise a non-scholarship player with a full ride.
