If you’re a receiver and Cris Carter is in the house, you might as well show out.
That’s exactly what happened on Friday afternoon as Minnesota Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson made a number of highlight-reel grabs during training camp, exciting the crowd and putting on a show for the Vikings legend.

Carter greeted Jefferson early in Friday’s practice and while the audio was cut out, whatever advice Carter gave Jefferson must have worked as he made a slick one-handed grab during receiver drills.

Jefferson didn’t stop there as he channeled another Vikings legend by “Mossing” free agent acquisition Byron Murphy Jr. during passing drills.

The performance clearly caught the attention of Carter, who was prominent at Vikings camp on Friday. In addition to meeting with Jefferson, Carter also met with Jordan Addison, helping the rookie get up to speed by watching him run routes during practice.

Carter’s presence also brought a different vibe to practice as was documented on the Vikings social media account.

Carter’s advice can help everyone thrive, but especially in the case of Jefferson. In a post on social media, Carter declared that “the best wide receiver in football got better this offseason,” which could make for another big season for Jefferson and the Vikings in 2023.
I was really proud talking with @JJettas2 yesterday. He told me he’s worked on a couple different things to make his game even better this year 😳. The best Wide Receiver in football got better this off-season. Scary for the league 😈 pic.twitter.com/XsU5lpPN3Z
