The Timberwolves lost to the Warriors, 106-98 Friday night at Target Center. Minnesota trailed by 13 points to start the fourth quarter, and although they got as close as three points, they couldn’t come all the way back.
The Wolves were once again without Nikola Pekovic, Brandon Roy and J.J. Barea. On Thursday head coach Rick Adelman said there was a chance all three could play, but he decided to give them extra rest to heal injuries.
Alexey Shved led the Wolves with 22 points and 7 assists. Derrick Williams scored 23 points and Andrei Kirilenko added 18.
The loss drops the Wolves’ to 5-4. They are off until Wednesday when they host the Denver Nuggets.
