Christian Ponder has said before that he needs to be more consistent, but with the ups and downs he’s had this season many fans and analysts are starting to wonder about his longterm future in Minnesota.
Vikings radio analyst Pete Bercich tells the Pioneer Press the Vikings “can’t wait forever for a guy to improve.” With five games left, Ponder has a chance to prove he’s the man for the job, but if he doesn’t, Bercich believes the Vikings have to go out and get another “viable starter.”
Ponder told the Star-Telegram in Texas that he thinks he’s done a good job of staying patient and completing passes on first and second down, and knows he needs to “continue that for the rest of the season.”
