Ed Larson made headlines last month as he celebrated his 100th birthday on 12/12/12, the same date he was born.
Larson, a religious Minnesota football fan, has seen it all in his 100 years on Earth, but never attended a Vikings game, the Star Tribune reports.
So, the team rolled out the red carpet for Larson and his family last Sunday for the regular-season finale against the Packers.
Vikings officials arrived at his East Bethel home in a stretch limo and escorted Larson and his guests to special seats on stadium turf at the Metrodome.
Larson was front row for Blair Walsh’s last-second field goal to win the game, sending Minnesota to the playoffs. He says it was one of the most memorable games in Vikings history.
“I should know,” Larson told the newspaper. “I’ve been around for all of them.”
