Minnesota Vikings rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison has entered concussion protocol and he did not participate in the first day of joint practices between the Vikings and Titans on Wednesday.
Head coach Kevin O’Connell said Addison suffered the concussion during a two-minute drill in practice “the other day.” It
“Just kind of making a catch going to the ground,” O’Connell explained. “Just had some very, very light symptoms that we deemed it worthy just to be smart with him. He’s currently in the protocol, working his way already through that right now and expecting to have him as early as potentially Monday.”
“He’ll be back ASAP when the doctors clear him,” O’Connell added.
Running back Kene Nwangwu and wide receiver Jalen Nailor remain out with injuries, while right tackle Brian O’Neill continues to workout and go through individual drills as he returns from last season’s torn Achilles. O’Connell said O’Neill will be included in full team reps during next week’s joint practices with the Arizona Cardinals.
