Brandon Powell has signed a one-year deal with the Minnesota Vikings, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The 27-year-old wide receiver has been in the NFL for four years, spending the last two seasons with the Los Angeles Rams. He had 24 receptions for 156 yards and zero touchdowns last season.

Powell has three career touchdowns in the NFL, one of them a 61-yard punt return for a touchdown against the Vikings in 2021. In 49 career punt returns he’s averaged 9.6 yards per return, and he’s averaged 20.2 yards on 30 career kickoff returns.

Minnesota needs wide receiver depth after Adam Thielen was released and signed with the Carolina Panthers, The top two receivers on the roster are Justin Jefferson and K.J. Osborn, followed by Jalen Nailor and now Powell.
