The Minnesota Viking signed free-agent quarterback Brad Sorensen on Saturday afternoon giving them four QBs on the roster.

Sorensen joins Teddy Bridgewater, Shaun Hill, Joel Staave and Taylor Heinicke, who is currently on the non-football injury list.
The 28-year-old Sorensen was drafted in 7th round by the San Diego Chargers in 2013 but has yet to throw a pass in a regular season game.
Sorensen has spent most of his time on practice squad with the Chargers and the Tennessee Titans.
The move comes after Teddy Bridgewater was held out of the Vikings’ most recent preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks due to a coach’s decision by Mike Zimmer.
On Friday there were reports that Bridgewater was experiencing shoulder soreness and was held out for precautionary reasons, but he would have played if it were a regular season game.
Following Saturday’s practice, Zimmer told reporters that there is “no concern” with his starting quarterback. Bridgewater didn’t throw on Saturday but still took reps with the first team.

With the signing of Sorensen, the Vikings released running back Kevin Monangai from the roster.
