Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said this week that he would make a starting quarterback decision Wednesday, but that hasn’t stopped some from jumping the gun anyway. And the rumors are that Josh Freeman will get the nod Monday night against the Giants.
At lest that’s what NBC’s Pro Football Talk is reporting, saying that “the Vikings are pushing Freeman and are considering starting him” when the Vikes visit the Meadowlands.
Of course, it was just a couple days ago that Frazier said that he was “not sure” who would get the start, but did offer a mid-week announcement, so we’ll see. All of the speculation is coming from a tweet by a Fox Sports reporter:
Vikings are seriously considering starting Josh Freeman this weekend

In more Viking rumor news, pretty much everyone has figured out that the real problem for the team is the defense, and the Vikings are running thin on bodies and talent in the defensive backfield.
To that end, Yahoo! Sports reports that the Vikings worked out former Colts safety Joe Lefeged. Lefeged, from Rutgers, has 66 career tackles and two interceptions in three NFL seasons but was released by Indianapolis earlier this season.
Of course, some have already decided to wait ’til next year. The Daily Norseman points out that if the season were to end today, the Vikings would have the fourth pick in the draft during the off season. Skol!
