When the Vikings drafted Mackensie Alexander in the second round, some were surprised he fell that late.
According to Doug Farrar of Sports Illustrated, Alexander was the 9th best prospect in the draft.
Last season the Vikings had 5th best defense in terms of points allowed and with coach Mike Zimmer at the helm, he plans to keep the defense elite for years to come.
“Coach Zimmer is a hard nose coach, he’s going to make you earn it,” said Alexander on Friday. “My whole life I’ve had to earn it, so it’s not a transition for me to earn anything, I’m going to come and get it.”
Here are some highlights from Alexander on day two of mini camp.
