Sharrif Floyd’s preseason is over.
The Vikings announced Monday that the rookie defensive tackle underwent a minor procedure on his left knee that will keep him out for the remainder of the preseason.
“I don’t think he’ll practice until next week,” head coach Leslie Frazier told the Star Tribune. “It’s nothing major. He shouldn’t miss any time, as far as our regular season is concerned. He won’t play this week and probably not in the Tennessee game.”
ESPN reports that the minor procedure will help relieve some pain Floyd is experiencing.
Floyd suffered a knee injury against the Texans in week one of the preseason, but he practiced all of last week and played in the week two preseason game at Buffalo.
Minnesota plays at San Francisco on Sunday Night Football this week.
