The fourth-year wideout was eventually on his feet and standing on his own power before being carted to the locker room for evaluation before the Vikings ruled him out with a concussion.
Rookie quarterback Jaren Hall, making his NFL debut in place of Kirk Cousins, was ruled out with a concussion after taking a big hit during the first quarter.
Alford was flagged for a 15-yard unnecessary roughness penalty.
