That injury scare at Vikings training camp Thursday was just that — nothing to see here.
It happened to middle linebacker Erin Henderson, whose left ankle was trampled a bit when he was stepped on while making a tackle. He said today that he felt a “good bit of fire” down there, but it wasn’t too serious.
He sat out of Friday’s practice, but coach Leslie Frazier says he should be ready to play Sunday against the 49ers.
Henderson is a huge key to the defense this season. He’s starting at middle linebacker for the first time as a pro.
Meanwhile, Frazier said wide receiver Jarius Wright (concussion) won’t play Sunday. That’ll open up more playing time for rookie Cordarrelle Patterson, but Frazier said that was the plan anyway.
