Bad news for the Vikings with head coach Mike Zimmer announcing Friday that his defense will be without two starters Sunday against Green Bay.
Cornerback Xavier Rhodes (knee) and defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd (knee) have been ruled out with injuries.
Rhodes heard a pop in his knee while stretching before the season opener against Tennessee and he hasn’t practiced all week. Floyd has been slowed by a knee injuring dating back to training camp. He didn’t practice at all this week either.
With Rhodes out the Vikings will likely give second-year cornerback Trae Waynes his second straight start.
Coach Zimmer announces that @XavierRhodes29_ and @sharriffloyd will be out for Sunday's game.

The good news is that left tackle Matt Kalil (hip) is expected to play. If Kalil doesn’t play the expectation would be for T.J. Clemmings to play left tackle.
