The Minnesota Vikings have activated Adam Thielen off the COVID-19/reserve list and he will be eligible to play Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
After being placed on the list last week, Thielen missed the Vikings’ win over the Carolina Panthers last Sunday. The list indicates that a player has either tested positive for COVID-19 or has come in close contact with someone that has, but teams are not required to specify the reason for placing a player on the list.
Although Thielen made the most of his week off by cheering for the Vikings in his living room, the Vikings will welcome the star receiver back with open arms.
Thielen is currently tied for second with 11 touchdown receptions and is second on the Vikings with 646 receiving yards behind Justin Jefferson.
Speaking at his Wednesday morning press conference, head coach Mike Zimmer said Thielen should be “ready to go” when the Vikings will host the 1-9 Jaguars at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
