The Minnesota Twins made some big defensive plays to help extend Thursday night’s series opener against the Toronto Blue Jays.
With the game tied up at two, in both the ninth and 10th innings the Twins made key defensive plays with two outs to stop the Blue Jays from scoring the go-ahead run.
Danny Santana ran down a fly ball to deep center field to help Kevin Jepsen get out of trouble in the ninth.
Wow. Great leaping catch from Danny Santana in center to rob Tulowitzki of a go-ahead RBI

Then with the go-ahead run on third base, Eduardo Nunez took a base hit away from Jose Bautista and keep the game tied.
But the Blue Jays had a third chance to take a lead in the 11th and this time Troy Tulowitzki came through with a two out, two strike base hit to drive in the go ahead run giving Toronto a 3-2 lead.
