Minnesotans shouldn’t care about Oregon high school basketball, right?
Wrong. Today Minnesotans should care. Oregon is the home state of Timberwolves all-star forward Kevin Love. It’s also the home state of Detroit Pistons forward Kyle Singler.
Love played at Lake Oswego High School. Singler starred at South Medford High School. The rivalry the two players and schools developed was fantastic, all thanks to a pair of state championship games (2006, 2007).
.@KyleSingler just watched Part 1 of the video. I have a feeling I won't like the ending of the next one!!…Epic battles and great memories

Love actually went to three straight state championship games in high school. As a sophomore, he averaged 25.3 points and 15.4 rebounds a game.
