Never has that been exemplified more than in this video, where former Minnesota Wild left wing Pascal Dupuis gets hit in the mouth by a teammate’s stick, rearranging his teeth.
He calls a trainer over, then decides to take care of his mouth himself.
Here’s the audio of the same clip, and if you listen close enough, you can hear the faint pop of the tooth being removed from its rightful resting spot.
He didn’t miss a shift, and followed up the experience by simply saying”alright”, before putting his mouthguard back in and getting on the ice once again.
Scary.
