Last night, we gave you a comprehensive preview of Twins East in the NL wild card playoff against Cincinnati.
Today, we bring you a video tribute to a man that is perhaps, lets say, not as loved as Justin Morneau and Francisco Liriano in Minnesota.
He’s a man in his second go around with the Tampa Bay Rays, who have already won a Game 163 to get to this point, and now take on Cleveland tonight at 7 p.m. for the right to move on and face Boston.
He is a man that once threw a bat at an umpire in the minors (the video is below in case you forgot), garnering a 50-game suspension.
Presenting, Delmon Young, and his top moments with the Rays in his second go around.
Here is Delmon’s first homer with Tampa after being signed by the Rays in late August.
Here’s Delmon shooting one in the gap to drive in a run in Yankee stadium.
Here’s Delmon’s solo drive off defending Cy Young winner R.A. Dickey.
Delmon did his part in Game 163 by opening the scoring with this good piece of hitting into deep right center Monday night.
Good luck Delmon.
