Wash last night’s awful Twins loss right out of your hair.
The Twins are playing the Tigers again at noon, as Minnesota looks to take the rubber game of the series.
One roadblock? That Justin Verlander fellow.
As Yahoo!Sports points out, Verlander (12-9, 3.51 ERA) is 9-0 with a 1.67 ERA in his last 10 games against Minnesota. That’s also his longest current winning streak against any club.
Andrew Albers (2-1, 1.85) pitches for the Twins. He was lights out in his first two starts, racking up 17 1/3 scoreless innings over two straight wins, including a complete game shutout over the Indians.
But against the White Sox last Saturday, Albers showed that he was human after all, giving up five runs in seven innings in an 8-5 loss.
Twins lineup? Right here. First pitch is at 12:05 Central:
