After interviewing for a second time on Wednesday, Vikings head coach candidate Mike Zimmer has not been offered the job, according to the Pioneer Press.
“No, not yet,” Zimmer said Tuesday when asked if the Vikings had offered him the job. Zimmer said his second interview “went fine.”
General Manager Rick Spielman originally planned to interview two or three finalists, but there’s a chance he could forego future interviews if Zimmer impressed him and team ownership to the point that they felt comfortable hiring him.
Zimmer is back at Winter Park in Eden Prairie for a second consecutive day.

If Zimmer leaves town without the job Wednesday, ESPN says it could be an indicator of whether or not the Vikings will offer him the job. However, the Star Tribune reported that he’s schedule to leave on Thursday.
One report out of Cincinnati Tuesday morning suggested that it was “very likely” that Minnesota would agree with Zimmer the same day, which proved to be false.
As Pro Football Talk reported, the Vikings could still have interest in secondary interview with Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell and defensive coordinator Dan Quinn. They could also choose to wait to make contact with Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase and defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio.
Arizona defensive coordinator Todd Bowles could still receive a second interview from the Vikings. He withdrew his name from consideration for the Cleveland job Tuesday.
Minnesota and Cleveland are the only teams without a head coach.
