ESPN’s wizards aren’t exactly on point this year. Remember the story about ESPN thinking the Packers had won the NFC North when it was really the Vikings? Well, ESPN has struck again, this time referring to Twins radio announcer Dan Gladden as an announcer for the Kansas City Royals.
It happened when ESPN posted video of Gladden catching a foul ball – with his glove because why wouldn’t a former World Series hero have his glove with him at all times – in the booth during Sunday’s Twins-Royals game. As of 9:15 a.m. Monday – more than 16 hours after the story went online – ESPN still hasn’t corrected the mistake.
Here’s the audio of the call from Twins Radio.
