The Minnesota Twins beat the Baltimore Orioles 6-1 Saturday at Target Field, getting some offensive punch from Joe Mauer and Brian Dozier, the Pioneer Press reports.
Mauer had a home run, three hits and four RBIs. His homer, a three-bagger in the seventh inning, broke open the game. Dozier hit a solo shot in the third inning.
Minnesota starting pitcher Kevin Correia (1-3) won his first game since last September, according to the Star Tribune. He gave up five hits during seven innings, and retired 13 of his final 14 batters. Casey Fien and Jared Burton pitched in relief.
Baltimore players committed two errors and have committed six errors in their last seven games.
The two teams play again Sunday at Target Field. Gametime is 1:10 p.m.
