Twins playoff tickets are a thing again.
The club announced today that postseason tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 28. These tickets are available for purchase only at www.twinsbaseball.com.
The tickets that will be on sale include:
- Game 163 (if necessary)
- Wild Card game (if the Twins host it)
- American League Divisional Series (if they go that far)
Game 163 is technically part of the regular season, but the Twins will likely host that game if it’s a tiebreaker against the Angels, Rangers or Orioles. They won’t host it if it’s against the Mariners or Rays.
Home-field advantage in the tiebreaker game goes to the team with the better head-to-head record.
The Wild Card game will only be played at Target Field if the Twins are able to secure the first Wild Card, which means they probably have to sweep the three-game series against the Yankees starting tonight.
Minnesota would host Games 3 and 4 (if necessary) of the best-of-five ALDS, if they win the Wild Card game.
