Nunez was the Twins’ lone All-Star this season and is in the midst of his best season, setting career highs across the board. Nunez is hitting .295 with 12 home runs, 15 doubles and 47 runs batted in.
Adalberto Mejia
Adalberto Mejia is a lefty in the Giants’ system who’s produced solid numbers. He’s spent time with San Fransisco’s AA and AAA affiliates — compiling a 7-3 record with a 2.98 ERA in 105 innings pitched.
Most importantly though, Mejia is a strikeout pitcher. His 8.6 strikeout rate per 9 innings is a career high.
