The MLB trade deadline struck at 3 p.m. Monday and the Minnesota Twins, despite being involved in some rumors, didn’t pull the trigger on any roster moves.
Minnesota was tied to starting pitchers Dylan Bundy and Lance Lynn, along with outfielder Starling Marte and left-handed reliever Josh Hader, but no deal came to fruition.

Neither Bundy, Lynn nor Hader were traded.
Other American League contenders were active. The Athletics acquired left-handed starter Mike Minor from the Rangers; the Blue Jays traded for Arizona left-handed starter Robbie Ray; Cleveland dealt right-handed ace Mike Clevinger to the Padres.
Marte, who was linked to the Twins at one point, was traded from Arizona to the Miami Marlins, while the Marlins sent shortstop Jonathan Villar to the Blue Jays.
The Twins, meanwhile, have lost five in a row and are in third place behind Cleveland and Chicago in the AL Central. But the Twins will be getting key players back in the coming week, including Michael Pineda (suspension), Jake Odorizzi (injury), Homer Bailey (injury), Byron Buxton (injury), and possibly Josh Donaldson (injury) and Mitch Garver (injury) in the near future.
