The Twins made a roster move on Friday, placing outfielder Shane Robinson on the Family Emergency List and replacing him with outfielder Aaron Hicks.
Hicks missed 19 games with a forearm strain but has hit well the past two games during a rehab stint at Triple-A Rochester.

The Pioneer Press reports that this is Robinson’s second stint on the Family Emergency List. The Twins nor Robinson have shared details of why.
Hicks’ rehab assignment began earlier this week at Rochester and it didn’t start well. Through his first four games he went 1-for-14 with 7 strikeouts. But he’s gone 3-for-4 in each of his last two games while striking out just once.
Fox Sports North notes that Hicks is hitting just .247 with a .293 on-base percentage in 28 games at the big-league level this season.
The Star Tribune reports that Hicks could be back in center field for the Twins, who were using Danny Santana and Eddie Rosario since Hicks and top prospect Byron Buxton got hurt. Buxton is out another 3-to-5 weeks with a sprained thumb.
The Twins play the Royals in Kansas City Friday night at 7:10 p.m.
