After his season ended in August Byron Buxton returns to the Twins opening day lineup, batting third.
The Twins released their lineup ahead of their season opener Thursday in Kansas City.
Max Kepler will lead off the Twins season. Kepler is a career .237 hitter from the leadoff position.

Carlos Correa is set to follow Kepler as he looks to follow up his 22 home run, 64 RBI 2022 season.
Buxton is third, Trevor Larnach will bat cleanup after a strong spring, while Jose Miranda gets the start at third base and bats fifth.
Second baseman Nick Gordon will hit sixth followed up by newcomer Joey Gallo, who gets the start at first base.
Former Red Sox and Astros catcher Christian Vazquez will be behind the plate for opening day and bats eighth.
Michael A. Taylor gets the start in center field in his return to Kansas City.
