The Twins rallied from a 5-1 deficit to tie the game and went on to beat the Red Sox, 6-5 in ten innings Friday night at Fenway Park. Jamey Carroll led the Twins with a 4-4 night at the plate, including the game-winning RBI single in the tenth.
Justin Morneau also went 4-4 with a pair of doubles and 2 RBI. He was also hit by a pitch in the hand. Ben Revere went 2-5, extending his career-best hitting streak to 17 games. Jamey Carroll went 3-3.
Game three of the four game series is Saturday night. Cole De Vries will start for the Twins while right-hander Clay Bucholz is on the mound for Boston.
