The Twins scored 11 runs in the first two innings en route to beating up the Boston Red Sox, 15-8 Wednesday night at Fenway Park.
Ryan Doumit’s two-run home run highlighted a four-run first inning, which was followed by a seven-run second inning.
Pedro Florimon started the second with a solo home run and added a two-run double later in the inning.

As a team, the Twins (15-15) finished with a season-high 20 hits.
Even though Minnesota put four runs on the board in the first inning, they actually trailed by a run to start the second. Boston (21-13) scored five runs in the bottom of the first, highlighted by a grand slam by Jonny Gomes.
Both starting pitchers struggled. Alan Webster allowed eight runs on six hits and three walks in 1.2 innings. Pedro Hernandez gave up six runs on seven hits and a walk before being pulled by Ron Gardenhire after two innings.
Former Red Sox reliever Ryan Pressly earned the win out of the bullpen for the Twins.
The Twins can win the four game series Thursday night. First pitch at 6:10 p.m.
